The Aerial Girl

Anna Simone Scott’s directorial debut short film has really taken flight. It has been scooping awards at Film Festivals all over the world and now lands at two prestigious film festivals in August: the New York City International Film Festival and Action On Film International Film Festival in Southern California. This stunning film, starring Sarah De La Isla and Joel Stoffer, is a lyrical and moving drama set on the plains of Wyoming. A hip, urban teenager moves to her grandparent’s ranch in Wyoming. There her world is turned upside down when the family secret is revealed.

Based on the play written by Terri Sissman, who also wrote the screenplay, The Aerial Girl earned Anna the Honorable Filmmaker Award at La Femme Film Festival and Special Acknowledgment in Milan as well as Winner of Best Film and Audience pick in Maryland. And to top this winning streak, exciting newcomer, Sarah De La Isla, most recently won the 2012 Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Short Film.

Next up for filmmakers Anna Simone Scott and her producing partner, Peter Sands, is a psychological thriller ‘Girl On A Train’. This feature film is set in a city where a serial killer is on the loose. To be produced by their company, VisionFire Films, Inc. in Los Angeles. Anna also has several theatre projects on their way to production.
